About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Application Support Specialist to join our Christchurch based Service Desk team. You will provide front-line phone and Level 1/2 application support to our customers, who use our Radiology Information System software and its related products. This role is best suited to someone who already has experience within a general IT service desk environment or has already transitioned into supporting specialist software.

You will be responsible for:

  • Resolving incidents and requests in a timely manner
  • Ensuring customers are informed and up to date
  • Managing support queues and escalations to other teams
  • Following incident, request, and change management processes
  • Collaborating with our team of experts to achieve the best customer experience
  • Creating and maintaining quality how-to documentation for your team and customers
  • Documenting application bugs for escalation to development

Issues can range from printing, scanning, software integration (desktop) and messaging (HL7/API), SMS, referrer communication, voice recognition, invoicing, and configuring the software to work with the customer's workflow.

 

About you

  • 3+ years experience in a similar IT or Application Helpdesk role
  • Strong communicator with excellent phone manner and written skills
  • A positive team member who has a real willingness to expand their knowledge and skillset
  • Diligent and can work autonomously

Experience in any (not all!) of the following will make you stand out:

  • Supporting specialist applications
  • Previous experience within the Healthcare industry
  • Ability to remotely troubleshoot devices such as scanners and printers
  • Invoicing/payment processing, Medicare and Health Fund billing
  • Service desk ticketing systems and team messaging tools
  • Using a command line interface (Windows/Linux)
  • Running basic SQL queries in Linux
  • Any exposure to RIS, PACS, Linux, HL7, DICOM, Healthlink or Medical Objects, Patient Management Systems, Hospital Information Systems
